The Institute of Terrestrial Ecology is one of the component grant-aided research organisations within the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). It undertakes specialist ecological research in a wide range of subjects including the ecology of single species, communities and habitats and land use problems. The results of ITE research are published in a wide range of scientific journals.
